Charity Quilt Sew-in/Soup Supper - The event will be held in our regular meeting room at the church with a soup supper served between 5:30 and 6:30. You don't need to sign up or bring a project - choose your own schedule for participation. Come, sew and have fun while doing projects that give such joy to others.

Kits have been prepared which include blocks, instruction and cut sashing and borders so a completed top is a sure thing within a few hours. Some small quilts will be sandwiched ready for machine quilting while other tops will be sandwiched and pinned during the meeting in preparation for quilting. Hand stitching will be available in whipping the binding back on projects. And then if we run out of prepared projects, fabric and plans will be available for making more blocks. A roll of batting will be ready for use as needed.

Remember to bring some supplies to work with and to share. We will need machines as well as irons, ironing pads/boards, cutting mats, rulers, rotary cutters, scissors and thread. A short extension cord may be needed to get you to a power strip in the room. You may want to work in teams so you can share bringing equipment.

One of the joys of the evening is the soup supper where we not only taste wonderful soup, bread, cheese and crackers and cookies made by members but it gives us a chance to socialize with old and new friends. It will be as close to an old fashioned quilting bee as when our grandmothers and mothers met. Look forward to an wonderful day. If you are coming in the afternoon, please park your cars at the south parking lot of the church and come in the end door. After 6:00 pm parking can be in all lots.
