GROUPIES ROUND ROBIN

Pick your favorite four quilting buddies or get to know four other guild members in this year‟s challenge. We‟ll be exchanging pieces for each one in your group to add a border showing off their design and quilting skills. Exchanges may be made at guild meetings or as each group arranges, keeping to the scheduled dates. The piece may be put on point at any rotation and would count as one border but that rotation‟s technique would apply. Here is the schedule:

Oct 11 Sign up to participate. You may register as one 5-person group or individual sign ups will be as-signed to a group.

Nov. 8 Assignment of groups will be announced.

You will have until January 10, 2011, to make one "starter" block of any pattern, any technique, any size. If you have any specific requests such as color, fabric style, etc., include a note with your block or talk with the members of your group.

Jan. 10 Pass to next person who adds a border on all 4 sides not to exceed 5" wide using triangles.

Feb. 14 Pass to next person who adds a border on all 4 sides not to exceed 5" wide using appliqué method of their choice.

Mar. 14 Pass to next person who adds a border on all 4 sides not to exceed 5" wide using squares.

April 11 Pass to final person who will layer, quilt and bind the piece. You will have TWO months to finish.

June 13 Pass to original person for labeling to include names of all persons who worked on the piece.

July 11 Bring to guild meeting to "unveil" and share with the guild.
