Enter to win an all expenses paid lecture and workshop from nationally known quilting teacher and author, Maggie Ball, while piecing a better future for quilters in Mongolia.

Together, and across many borders, we can build a permanent facility for the Mongolian Quilting Center, where low income and unemployed women in Ulaanbaatar learn quilting skills, make items to sell, and forge new friendships. This campaign is hosted by St. Barnabas Episcopal Church Outreach Program and all funds go to Quilters Without Borders.

Please encourage your guild and satellite groups to participate, and to publicize this project at their meetings and in their newsletter. Donations from individuals are also welcome and may be made on-line. Click here for a list of participating guilds.

 Rules of entry for Quilt Guilds:

Send a 6” square of quilting fabric, and a $100 donation made out to St. Barnabas QWB. Return with the completed form. The fabric will be used to make a quilt to be presented to the Mongolian Quilting Center, so that as we piece the quilt, we build the community center. Participating guilds will be listed on the back of the quilt and on the website. Guilds may enter as many times as desired. 

The winning Guild may select a lecture and workshop of their choice from those listed on Maggie Ball's website www.dragonflyquilts.com, for a date by mutual agreement in 2009 or 2010.  All travel expenses will be paid, but accommodation for Maggie with a guild member is requested.

The drawing will take place on October 5th, 2008, at 11.30 a.m. at St. Barnabas and the winning Guild will be posted on the website by October 12th, 2008.
